Meet Janet Helms

Janet Helms is the Regional Senior Credit Officer and Loan Operations Manager at New Republic Bank, where she leads the Credit, Underwriting and Loan Operations Teams.  She has brought over 30 years of commercial banking experience to the bank as a strategic and client-focused leader. Janet specializes in creative credit structuring, complex commercial real estate (CRE) and construction project finance, and loan documentation and negotiation.

Janet has a proven track record in credit risk management, financial analysis, and client relationship development and retention. Known for her consultative and entrepreneurial mindset, she expertly balances institutional risk with client needs to drive both portfolio growth and customer satisfaction. Her extensive background as a collaborative Senior Credit Officer spans major institutions as well as high-growth organizations.

Janet earned her B.S. in Administrative Management, magna cum laude, from Clemson University. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, her grandchildren, and her dog, and she can often be found playing golf or enjoying the outdoors.
