Meet Jeffery W. Smith

Jeff Smith holds the positions of senior commercial relationship manager and senior commercial lender at New Republic Bank. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the legacy bank loan portfolio and collaborates closely with all lenders. Jeff also engages directly with clients to address their diverse financial needs through a wide range of solutions.

Before the acquisition by New Republic Bank, Jeff served as the vice president of lending and senior credit officer for New Republic Savings Bank. In this role, he managed the credit administration process, led lenders, and shaped credit risk policies and procedures.

Earlier in his career, Jeff assumed the role of regional manager of personal and business banking at RBC Centura, where he held accountability for executing sales delivery strategies across a broad spectrum of financial services. His career began at Planters National Bank.

Active in the Roanoke Rapids market, Jeff has served as a board member of the Roanoke Rapids Sanitary District and held the position of president at the Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from North Carolina State University.
